Traveling Between the ABC Islands​

Getting between Curacao, Aruba, and Bonaire is easier than you might think!
Domestic Flights:

• Flights between the islands are quick—about 20 minutes—and relatively easy to book. You can fly with EZ Air or Divi Divi Airways. Just watch the baggage restrictions! EZ Air allows 22kg, while Divi Divi only permits 18kg. If your bag is overweight, the cost is about $2 per kilo, but based on the airline.

Immigration Requirements:

• Curacao requires a Digital Immigration Card, which needs to be filled out before arrival. You can fill out 7 days before arriving here.            
• Aruba requires an ID card and a $20 tourism fee. You can handle both 7 days prior by clicking here.

International Flights:

• The ABC Islands require US bound travelers to go through customs prior to departure. Therefore it is recommended  getting to the airport at least 3 hours before your international flight. Aruba does allow use of Global Entry or Mobile Passport Control (MPC) and we would highly recommend, if you do not have Global Entry, to download the MPC application on your phone and submit your customs declaration information prior to arriving at Aruba Queen Beatrix International Airport (ensure you do not submit too early, 3 hours is the maximum time before expiration). This mobile app allows you to skip through the long customs lines and is free of charge to use. Find more information on this app here.

​Taxi Tips:

• If you're flying out of Aruba, consider taking a taxi to the airport ($30 from Eagle Beach) instead of the shuttle, which may require you to leave way too early before your flight. Domestic airline counters only open 2 hours prior to flight departure but most hotel shuttles will require you to be picked up from your hotel or resort 4 hours early.
• Most taxis on the islands will only take cash, ask when you enter the vehicle if they do have access to credit card use. The American Dollar is widely used, just ensure you have enough to cover your taxi share, typically between $10-$30 each way depending on how far you are traveling. We did not find Uber to be available on the islands.
